Colloquium Paulinum : Ecumenical Biblical Encounters
Every two years, some thirty specialists on
Saint Paul and his epistles meet at the Abbey of Saint Paul's outside the Wall (Rome).
Coming from different countries of the world, they belong to all christian
confessions.
These encounters are meant as weeks for studying
the text of an epistle, or one aspect of an epistle, and for meeting in a
christian fraternal ambience, sustained by the welcoming hospitality and the
prayer of the Benedictine comunity.
Lectures by the best specialists on the epistle
alternate with meetings in linguistic groups. A public conference is held on
the Saturday evening, open to everyone.
The results of this work are edited in a book, published by the Abbey
of Saint Paul's. Already, there are 17
volumes covering nearly all the letters of the Apostle.
